Graphic designers create and design visual communication pieces that are to be distributed to customers, clients, employees, and potential customers. Designers must possess the ability to be creative and come up with visual solutions for their clients and have the technical skills to use the advanced software needed to make the creation a reality. Most graphic design training programs are at least two years in length. There are an estimated 300 post-secondary educational institutions that have graphic design training programs.
